The study “Current challenges in the field of cybersecurity – Romania’s contribution to the field”

The study “Current challenges in the field of cybersecurity – Romania’s contribution to the field” was developed by the researchers Ioan-Cosmin Mihai (Romanian Police Academy), Costel Ciuchi (General Secretariat of the Romanian Government), and Gabriel Petrică (University Politehnica of Bucharest, Romania), in the “Strategy and Policy Studies – SPOS 2017″ project, coordinated by the European Institute of Romania.

The overall objective of this study was to analyze the current challenges in cyberspace, identifying threats, vulnerabilities, and risks to cybersecurity. It was presented Romania’s capacity to respond to virtual threats at both national, European and regional levels.

The main beneficiary of this study is the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Also, the results of the study may be useful for the Presidential Administration, the Romanian Government, the Parliament of Romania – the Chamber of Deputies, respectively the Senate of Romania.
