“Opportunities and Challenges in the New Digital Age. Implications for Romania” Round Table

The European Institute of Romania organized the round-table “Opportunities and Challenges in the New Digital Age. Implications for Romania” at the Romanian Academy, on April 25, 2018. The study “Current challenges in the field of cybersecurity – Romania’s contribution to the field“, developed in the “Strategic Studies and Policies – SPOS 2017” project, .

In the opening of this event, Ms. Gabriela Drăgan, the General Director of the European Institute of Romania, underlined the importance of SPOS project, meant to support Romania in fulfilling the obligations imposed by its quality as an EU member state, which follow the argumentation of some elements that present the post-accession policies and Romania’s position on the European construction.

The conclusions of the study “Current challenges in the field of cybersecurity – Romania’s contribution to the field” were presented by:

  • Ioan-Cosmin Mihai, Associate Professor, “Al. I. Cuza” Police Academy;
  • Costel Ciuchi, Senior Information Technology Expert, General Secretariat of the Government.
