Members Organization

The members of the Romanian Association for Information Security Assurance (RAISA) are individuals (professors, researchers, PhD students, and specialists) and legal entities (institutions, associations, organizations, and companies) compatible with the purpose, vision, goals and activities of the Association in terms of professional training, profession, scientific concerns that recognize and agree to comply with the Statute of the Association.

MEMBERS CATEGORIES

The Romanian Association for Information Security Assurance is an organization that consists of:

  • Founding Members – are individuals who have participated in the founding process of the Association, have agreed with the Statute of the Association at the date of establishment and are parts of the members’ category, with all their rights. The founding members pay annual membership fee and have the right to deliberative vote during the General Assembly.
  • Honorary Members can be scientists, professors, cultural or religious personalities, valuable professionals, who have rendered outstanding services to the Association. They are exempted from contributions and their vote is advisory;
  • Membersare individuals who have joined the Association after the date of establishment. The members pay annual membership fee and have all the rights, respecting the obligations stipulated in Statute of the Association. They have the right to deliberative vote during the General Assembly;
  • Collaborators/Volunteers – anyone who wants to participate in Association activities without becoming a member. Their collaborations are on no-cost basis; they don’t pay a membership fee and don’t have the right to vote.

MEMBERS BENEFITS

Members of the Romanian Association for Information Security Assurance (RAISA) have the following benefits:

  • free access to RAISA scientific events;
  • discount to workshops and conferences organized by RAISA;
  • discount for professional courses promoted by RAISA
  • possibility to be involved in RAISA projects, support offered for research and development;
  • free access to IJISC full-text articles;
  • discount for books distributed by RAISA.

HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER

Individuals and legal persons who wish to become members of the Romanian Association for Information Security Assurance must meet the following conditions:

  • to have concerns in the field of information security and related domains;
  • to adhere to the principles, values ​​and goals of the scientific professional Association;
  • to assume the rights and obligations as a member of the Association.

Subscription fee is 150 RON (~ 30 EUR) on a year for individuals and 300 RON (~ 60 EUR) on a year for legal persons. Master and PhD students have a 50% discount of the fee – they must provide the proper papers.

Honorary Membership quality is awarded by The Board of Directors to persons who have made ​​an important contribution and they have outstanding results in promotion and activity of the Romanian Association for Information Security Assurance (RAISA), or who had a special activity in the areas of interest of Association.

MEMBERS RIGHTS

Members of the Romanian Association for Information Security Assurance have the following rights:

  • to participate in activities organized by the Association;
  • to have priority access to information resources owned by the Association;
  • to participate in exchange experiences with similar associations in the country and abroad;
  • to benefit from the support of the Association in achieving personal initiative;
  • to make proposals to the General Assembly;
  • to elect and be elected to management bodies;
  • to participate in the activities for promotion of the Association;
  • to increase the prestige of the Association;
  • to withdraw free from the Association.

MEMBERS OBLIGATIONS

Members of the Romanian Association for Information Security Assurance have the following general requirements:

  • to comply with the Statute, the Intern Rules of Organization and Operation of Association, the resolutions of the General Assembly and the Board of Directors;
  • to work to achieve the goals and objectives of the Association;
  • not to take actions which, by their nature, may harm the interests of the Association;
  • not to make public statements that contradict judgments or prejudice the interests of the Association;
  • to pay the annual fee determined by the Board of Directors;
  • to announce any changes in personal information.
