Launching the study “Current challenges in the field of cybersecurity” at the Permanent Representation of Romania to the EU

The study “Current challenges in the field of cybersecurity – Romania’s contribution to the field” was launched at the Permanent Representation of Romania to the European Union, Bruxelles, Belgium, on November 7, 2018. The study was developed by the researchers Ioan-Cosmin Mihai (Romanian Police Academy), Costel Ciuchi (General Secretariat of the Romanian Government), and Gabriel Petrică (University Politehnica of Bucharest, Romania), in the “Strategy and Policy Studies – SPOS 2017″ project, coordinated by the European Institute of Romania.

The event was open by the Minister Delegate for European Affairs, who underlined the importance of cybersecurity to the digital future of Europe and that Romania is interested in working on the issue of protecting citizens’ safety in the cyberspace. The study “Current challenges in the field of cybersecurity – Romania’s contribution to the field” was presented by Ioan-Cosmin Mihai (Romanian Police Academy) and Costel Ciuchi (General Secretariat of the Romanian Government). Other important speakers from ENISA (The European Union Agency for Cybersecurity) and DG CONNECT, presented also the newest challenges in the field of cybersecurity.
